What is a Home Inspection?

A home inspection is a visual inspection of the interior and exterior condition of a house. Items reviewed include: the heating system and air conditioning system; interior plumbing and electrical systems; visible insulation; foundation, floors, walls, ceilings, and roofs; windows and doors; basements and attics; and decks and railings (where applicable).

Inspection last 2 1/2 to 5 hours (depending on size and complexity), with a report generated at the end.

What's in the Report?

A home inspection report is a snapshot of the home at the time of inspection that includes the physical state of the house and indicates any aspects that may need maintenance or replacement.

Why get a Home Inspection?

Those looking to buy can find out about any potential repairs or maintenance needs before committing to buy.

Current homeowners can learn about problems-in-the-making and preventive measures that may help inhibit costly repairs. This is especially helpful for those looking to raise the value of a house before selling.
